Geddy Lee’s Birthday- Now AVAILABLE!
For some strange reason I was up at 7am this morning. The earlier the sun rises, the earlier I do. I need better blinds or darker curtains or something. Anyway, happy MAY DAY everybody~!
I am housecleaning today in preparation of new roommate moving in and a potential inspection by my landlord sometime this week. I must say that OXY DEEP by Woolite is a miracle carpet cleaner! Seriously, my carpet looks pretty awesome. Did I mention that it's 8am and I have a load of laundry drying at the laundry mat and writing a blog about carpet stain remover? I should still be in bed! Regardless, the stain remover is awesome, although it's full of chemicals. No, I don't know what particular chemicals make up miracle stain remover (it doesn't say on the bottle), but I can tell they are there- and that is precisely what I am trying to get away from.
I'm on this detox living kick. This involves detoxing my apartment by using less harmful cleaning products (need to get rid of the Woolite- or maybe i'll just use it very rarely), recycling, conserving water and energy, using natural soaps and maybe even getting a countertop composting pail. This also involves me detoxing myself by fasting when I get back from Bermuda and slowing reintroducing foods into my diet. And I'm not talking about reintroducing just any ol' foods into my diet, but organic, whole foods. The goal is to consume fewer preservatives, less chemicals, and less processed foods. I've already begun eating better so I know this can be done.
In other news, ZINE IS DONE!! Yes, for a mere $3 you can have your very own copy of Tempo Giusto 2: Geddy Lee's Birthday- Now available at Reading Frenzy and Powell's, located downtown Portland Oregon. If you live far away, you can purchase it directly from Powell's online at http://www.powells.com/s?kw=maeo&x=41&y=17
It doesn't appear to be available on the website yet- but give it a few days and it should be there.
In other, other news did I mention- I'm going to BERMUDA!? Yes, a week from today I leave for the East Coast to visit family friends for a few days. Then my amazingly hot, rich, well-endowed boyfriend, "Diego" and I set sail on a cruise ship for Bermuda where we will spend 5 days dancing til dawn under the tropical moonlight, making love in a cabana, and skinny dipping in waterfalls never before touched by man. Ok… fine… You caught me.. I don't have an amazing hot, rich, well-endowed boyfriend named "Diego." Don't tell anyone, I'm actually going with my mom and we have plans to snorkel and swim with some dolphins. Not exactly the tropical romance I'd like you to think I'm having, but err…yeah, I'm off to Bermuda, jerks. See ya!
